Jiu Jitsu is one of the world's most effective, reality-based fighting systems. Developed by the famous Gracie Family, the basic premise of Jiu-Jitsu is that 90% of fights end up on the ground. As such, Jiu-Jitsu is focused primarily on effective ground fighting. The goal is to put an opponent into situations on the ground where joint locks and/or chokes can be applied to force him/her to submit.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: 

Gi classes are undertaken in a traditional gi uniform. Our Jiu-Jitsu programs are specifically designed with each student's achievement in mind. Your personal goals, such as fitness or self-defence, will be taken into account when you sign up.

PROGRAM GOALS:

  • Learn self-discipline and build confidence.

  • Develop respect for instructors and peers.

  • Improve coordination and agility.

  • Improve overall Jiu-Jitsu understanding.

  • Introduce students to more advanced Jiu-Jitsu.

CURRICULUM INCLUDES:

  • Beginner and advanced Jiu-Jitsu techniques.

  • Coordination-building drills and movement exercises.

  • A simplified explanation of core values.

  • Attacks, defensive techniques, and escapes from every position.

  • Core concepts and ideas.

  • Positional, situational and live sparring.

  • Question & Answer sessions.
